Moral Development
What are morals?
Morals are codes of conduct based on what is right or wrong.
Piaget’s moral development theory.
1. heteronomous morality - For children between the age of 6 and 10. Adhere the rules created by others. Morality of a decision is based on consequence.
2. Autonomous morality – (ages 10 – adults). Rules understood but questioned at times. Intent of the person rather than consequene determines the morality.
Kohlberg’s 6 Stages of Moral Development
Level Stage
Pre conventional - 1. Fear and punishment
2. Hope for reward.
Conventional - 3. Peer approval
4. Adhere to law and order.
Post conventional - 5. Social Contact
6. Universal ethics.

1. How is your research going?
well we have actually got each member in our group researching on one of the things in the need to know list. At the moment i am researching; current issues- how history has formed and shaped Australia to the present. Paul is researching about how to edit websites, Francis is researchin about the History of the Australian government and Luke and James are also researching on different parts of the need to know list.
2. What do you know about imovie? What other multimedia possibilities have you considered for your presentation?
I think that imovie is a very different and interesting form of presenting any type of information, data, collages or even making of videos and movies.
some of the other tools we could use would be windows movie maker and many more.

1. How will you organise your multimedia sales pitch? List ideas, think about how the entry document was presented.
- Well the entry document was presented in a very informative but humerous way.
- I think that everyone payed more attention to it as it was made by the teahers at school.
Well we as a group are still thinking about wat multimedia source we are going to present in our final product. Right now we are just looking at pmonline and the ruberic to see what tasks there are for us to go through.

Well the need to know list was a discussion involving the whole class. We all had to brainstorm the things we knew and didnt know about the project. All of the team secretariy’s had to type the need to know list up, print it off and have it placed in the group folder.
As far as role allocations go in our group, i am the team Marshell, James Naim is the group secretary, Paul Slaon is the people manager, Luke Clulow is the teacher liasion officer and Francis tobias is the time manager.
Journal 3
which part of the exposition are you responsible for?
well i am responsible for 1 of the points and the conclusion.
What supplementary material are you using to back up your thesis points (your argument)?
I am going to do some research on the topic on the internet, in magazines, etc.

What significant moment in Indigenous History occurs this week?
Kevin Rudd said sorry to the the Aboriginal people and thier communnity.
How may you use this as supplementary material?
Well we could use this as evidence to see what is happening to and with the Aboriginal community.

Today in our group we had a group meeting. In the group meeting we discussed the tasks that have been acomplishied till today and tasks that still need to be done. We also gave out homework to everyone in our group.

In todays class we did 2 practicals.
The first one was a Combustion practical. This is were we had to get a strip of magnesium and safely with the use of iron clippers, we had to place the strip of magnesium over the blue flames of the Bunsen burner. The result that we got was a very bright spark that kept going till the strip of magnesium had been burnet out. Some of the other groups in the class had theiir spark go a Fluro green colour. We were expecting this result as we knew that magnesium is used for making fireworks.
The second one was a decompostion practical. The aim of this practical was to observe and understand the reaction that would occur if nickel carbonate was to slowly burn into gas form and react with lime water. We also had to state what was happening and why. What we as a group observed was that as soon as the nickel carbonate reached the lime water it started forming bubles in the lime water. This was because a gas was being formed. The gas that was being formed was carbon dioxide. This gas is what was causing the bubbles in the lime water.

Decompostion reactions – are the opposite of composition reactions. one substance breaks down to form 2 or more new substances. For substances that break down to form 2 new substances, the general equation can be written: XY = X + Y
Example: calcium carbonate = calcium oxide + carbon dioxide.
Combustion reactions – is simply burning a substance in oxygen, so oxygen is always the reactant. The products will vary, depending on the substance that is burnt.
Examples of combustion reactions are: propane + oxygen = carbon dioxide + water.
In our next lesson we are going to doin a pracktical on these 2 forms of chemical reactions. After we do the practicals we are going to have do a pracktical report on the experiment.
